Sarah McKinney Gibson is a communications strategist and social impact storytelling with 20+ years of experience helping companies and organizations tell important and inspiring stories about why they exist and how they’re making a positive impact on people and the planet. She began her career in market research, working at both qualitative and quantitative research firms before jumping client side and managing consumer insights at Vivendi, Activision and Yahoo!
Craving a greater sense of purpose, Sarah attended Presidio Graduate School and received her MBA in sustainability. Upon graduating, she worked to launch a tech startup (a peer-reviewed directory of sustainability resources) and became a freelance columnist to bring increased visibility to the company. Her passion for writing overtook her passion for the startup and she has spent the past seven years focused on social impact storytelling, organizational communications and content strategy.
