MARINA KIM

Board Member

Marina’s life mission is to enable anyone at any age to be a contributor to social impact. She got her start as a student leader at Stanford University over 20 years ago. As a young leader she co-founded and grew Ashoka U into a global network of hundreds of colleges activating students, faculty, and senior administrators towards social impact efforts. She has worn hats ranging from founder, team member, coach, and advisor, to Board Member, and believes there are many roles individuals can play over a lifetime. She is a strong advocate for: intergenerational collaboration, the power of diverse perspectives in teams, and the need for elders and mentors to offer wisdom and historical context when tackling complex problems.

Today, Marina proudly serves as a Board Member of CoGenerate, which catalyzes younger and older changemakers to address social and environmental issues collaboratively. Marina was named in the Forbes 30 under 30 for Social Entrepreneurship, received the post-graduate Tom Ford Fellowship in Philanthropy from Stanford University, and is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Northampton.
